Your first visit will be approximately 30-45 minutes. It will include a health history consultation, physical examination, and a computerized postural assessment.
All of these tests allow us to determine the most appropriate technique and approach to help you. It also gives us a baseline for future tests so we can accurately measure your progress to see how your health and spine are improving. At the end of your first visit we will schedule for your second appointment which we call the Report of Findings.
Please fill out our intake forms before your first visit to the office. If you are unable to complete them before your appointment, please arrive fifteen minutes early.
The consultation is a designated one-on-one time for you and the doctor to review your health history, and address any concerns or questions that you may have. Once we have gathered all of your health information, we will explain how chiropractic can help.
Following the consultation, the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic evaluation, testing the health of your spine and nervous system. This will include a physical examination of your spine and a computerized postural exam.
Depending on your health history, age, and exam findings, we may suggest full spine postural x-rays. X-rays give us the ability to see the alignment and motion of your spine. It gives us a clearer picture of spinal biomechanics and your spinal history. An analysis of these x-rays will then be completed by the doctor, measuring degrees of misalignment. These findings will allow us to maximize your results and assess your progress.
This visit will explain the findings from your first visit and will last approximately 45-60 minutes. The doctor will review your exam results, present your recommended personalized care plan designed specifically for you, and outline the benefits you can expect.
After we review all of your examination findings, you will have the opportunity to receive your first specific, chiropractic adjustment. No matter what your health goals are, we are here to support you in reaching those goals and aid in improving your overall health well-being through quality chiropractic care.
